Mock Trial team wins regionals

The Clarence High School Mock Trial team became the Western Regional champions this weekend after three successive victories on Saturday.

Three weeks ago, the Clarence Mock Trial team won the Erie County Championship. On Saturday, its members returned to court to face the county champions from Genesee, Monroe and Chautauqua counties.

Students receive Leadership Awards

The third series of four Leadership Awards from the Wilson Center for Leadership and Innovation were presented Monday at the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse.

The Wilson Center for Leadership and Innovation was founded by Dr. Emmett Murphy, New York Times best-selling author, and the late Wilson Greatbatch, inventor of the implantable pacemaker.

Kyle Albrecht of Clarence graduated from Hesston College during a commencement ceremony on May 6. He earned an associate of applied arts and sciences degree in aviation – flight. He was also recognized in a reception for aviation and air traffic control students held on May 5. Albrecht is the son of Keith and Grace Albrecht.
