School budget approved

The 2012-13 budget for Clarence Central School District passed by a vote of 1,545 to 715, according to information from the district. Polls closed at 9 p.m.

The bus proposition, which would allow for the purchase of nine new buses, was also approved. There were 1,385 "yes" votes and 800 "no" votes.

The Clarence Industrial Development Agency is considering hiring an economic development officer.

The position was one topic of discussion when the CIDA met for a special meeting on Thursday.

A special exception use permit was granted for a proposed office park at 6041 Transit Road, north of Clarence Center Road, during the Town Board meeting on May 9.
