Jeff Gramlich and Dan Ohar have both served in the military.

The wars they fought may have been waged during different eras, but the two veterans have had the opportunity to find camaraderie once more, this time on the ice.

Both men are members of two war veteran hockey teams called the Buffalo Sabres Warriors and Buffalo Sabres Sled Vets.

Bikes in Bloom effort open for registration

ResidentsofClarenceCenterare invitedtoparticipateinthe Bikes in Bloom initiative. Anyone who wishes to participate can decorate a bicycle and place it in their yard. Those who apply for inclusion by May 18 will have their spot included on a map. The target date for bicycle setup will be Memorial Day weekend.

Curves recognizing Women’s Health Week

The Clarence location of Curves will give a free 30-day membership to any nonmember who visits a club during regular operating hours throughout National Women’s Health Week, which runs through May 19.
