New York State Police based in Clarence arrested a Williamsville, man on Sunday on a charge of felony driving while ability impaired due to drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle on Glenwood Drive in the Town of Clarence for speeding and having no front license plate.

Hearts and Hands honors volunteers

Hearts and Hands: Faith in Action, a neighbor-helping-neighbor volunteer organization with offices in Clarence Center, held its annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet on April 26 at the Alden Community Church, 1400 Sullivan Road in Alden.

The banquet is held annually to honor Hearts and Hands volunteers, who are the core of the organization’s mission.

Reflective house numbers available

The Clarence Lions Club is offering two 4-inch by 12-inch highly reflective house numbers for a $25 donation, which includes free installation on both sides of the mailbox.

Boy Scout Mike Moore is promoting the house numbers as part of his Eagle Scout project, in partnership with the Lions Club.

The numbers have been endorsed by the Clarence/Newstead Fire Chiefs Association.
