Labor Day Fair planned in Center
The Clarence Center Labor Day Fair, which is sponsored by the Clarence Center Fire Company Benevolent Association, will be held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at 9415 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center.
Ride specials will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and the band Hit N Run will perform both days in the Labatt Blue Party Tent. A trip for four to anywhere in the continental United States and a casino night at Seneca Niagara Casino worth $500 will be raffled, and the parade will be at 1 p.m. Monday.
The “famous” fireman’s chowder will be on sale that morning. In addition to chowder, people can feast on such menu options as B&W barbecue chicken dinners, hot dogs/hamburgers, Italian sausage, roast beef, pizza and french fries.
New York Life will be offering child identification and fingerprinting from 2 to 7 p.m. each day.
Demolition derbies will be at 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is for the local fire companies, and Sunday is open to any fire company in Erie, Genesee and Niagara counties.
