Monday, Sept. 6: The center is closed for Labor Day.

• Menu is subject to change. The suggested donation for lunch is $2.50 for those 60 years of age and older. Guests younger than 60 are welcome for a suggested donation of $4.50.

Introduction to Astronomy 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 — CSC Member Dr. August Cenkner will be doing a series of presentations on astronomy. This session’s topic will be “Moon Phases and Eclipses.” Sign up in the office.

Computer Club
10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 — The newly formed computer club will meet the first Tuesday and the third Friday of each month. This session’s topic will be “Keyboarding and Keyboard Shortcuts.” Any Center member is welcome to attend.
Beginning Line Dance
9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 — Have you ever thought of trying line dancing, but maybe feel intimidated about joining in with our experienced dancers? Line dancing is wonderful exercise and a great way to meet new friends. Miss Kitty will be offering a beginner line dance class for those wishing to learn the basics. The fee for this class will be $2.00. Please register in the office.
CSC Travelers Meeting
10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 — All members interested in travel are invited to attend today’s meeting to discuss upcoming travel plans.
BlueCross BlueShield
10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 — A representative from BlueCross BlueShield will be available to answer questions you may have concerning your current policy or the rules of Medicare.
Picnic in the Park
11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 — Lunch will be served at 12:30 for a suggested donation of $2.50. Cards, bingo and dominoes will be played after lunch. Sign-up on the Nutrition Board. The center is closed for maintenance.

The Aging Eye
1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 — Ophthalmologist Dr. Saralyn Notaro-Rietz will give a presentation on the aging eye. Notaro will cover topics such as retinal and macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Sign up in the office.
Antiques To Go
1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 — Boxes have been made for centuries in all shapes and sizes, out of all kinds of materials, to hold everything and anything. So what about them? Come, bring some, and we’ll find out.
Widows & Widowers
2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 — All are welcome for friendship and conversation. Light refreshments will be served.
Birthday Lunch
12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 — Cake will be served with lunch and those celebrating a September birthday will receive a gift. The suggested donation for lunch is $2.50. Sign up on the designated birthday sheet on the nutrition board.

1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 — Learn the basics of Mexican Train dominos. This class will be repeated on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Sign up in the office.
Early Bird BBQ Dinner
5:30 p.m. (Doors will open at 5:15 p.m.) Wednesday, Sept. 15 — Pulled pork sandwiches, beverages and dessert will be served prior to the start of the movie and evening activities. Enjoy this evening for only $2. Van service is available. Sign-up in the office.
Nature Explorers – Tifft Farms
9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 — Tifft Nature Preserve is a 264-acre nature refuge dedicated to conservation and environmental education. Meet at the Center by 9:30 a.m. for carpooling. Sign up on the Nature Explorers bulletin board.

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra 2010-11 Coffee Concert Series — The cost is $120 per person and includes five concerts and van transportation. Sign up and pay in the office.
Day Trips and Travel
“Harvey:” The Shaw Festival
Friday, Oct. 22 — Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. Leave the Senior Center by motor coach at 9:15 a.m. and arrive by 11:15 a.m. at Betty’s Restaurant in Niagara Falls, Canada, for lunch. After lunch, depart for the Royal George Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake for a performance of “Harvey”—the story of Elwood Dowd and Harvey (a spirit taking the form of a human-sized rabbit), who become the catalysts for a family mending its wounds and for romance blossoming in unexpected places. The cost is $99. Sign up and pay in the office.
Wheeling, WV Festival of Lights & Pittsburgh, Pa.
Nov. 15 – 18 — Enjoy the Oglebay Winter Festival of Lights, the nation’s largest light show, featuring more than 70 displays and one million lights spread over 300 acres. This fantastic trip also includes a holiday dinner show in Wheeling; visits to Colonel Oglebay’s Mansion Museum and the Glass Museum & Artisan Center; an overview tour of historic Wheeling; a guided tour of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a ride on the Duquesne Incline to the top of Mt. Washington. Transportation will be by chartered motorcoach. The cost for this trip is $479 per person based on double occupancy. Sign up in the office.

Wednesday, March 30 — The Canon Theatre, Toronto, Ontario, Ca.: With a score by Elton John, “Billy Elliot: The Musical” is “a joyous, exciting and feel-good celebration of one young boy’s triumph against the odds.” The cost for this trip is $149, which includes chartered motorcoach transportation from the Senior Center and a buffet luncheon at the picturesque Old Mill Inn.
