FOND FAREWELL — Mail carrier Don Sobocinski received a warm sendoff on Aug. 26, from Clarence’s Country Meadows neighborhood, located off of Wehrle Drive, on his last day before retiring after a career of more than 30 years. Residents decorated their mailboxes with about 100 helium balloons, as well as cards and signs. Children saluted him with bicycle horns and bubbles, and adults came out to greet him as he went by. A resident described him as someone who went “above and beyond” to help people.
