Legislative Breakfast open to community
The Clarence Chamber of Commerce invites members of the community to meet their local, county and state elected representatives during a Legislative Breakfast titled “Building Today for a Successful Tomorrow.”
The breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Clarence Public Library, 3 Town Place.
Speakers include Scott Bylewski, Town of Clarence supervisor; Patrick Casilio, Town of Clarence deputy supervisor; Kathy Hochul, Erie County clerk; Ray Walter, County of Erie legislator, Fourth District; Michael Ranzenhofer, New York State senator, 61st Senate District; Jane Corwin, New York State Assemblywoman, 142nd District; and Kathy Konst, Erie County commissioner of environment and planning.
Deborah Wixson, of the Bee Group Newspapers and James Bennett, Esq., of Watson, Bennett are the 2010 Legislation co-chairpersons.
“This event will provide a forum for our elected officials and an opportunity for them to answer questions posed in advance from you, our business community. Fostering communication and dialogue with our elected officials are important to providing a healthy and prosperous business environment,” said information from the Chamber.
The event will begin with the presentation of colors by American Legion Post 838 at 9 a.m. The cost, which includes a continental breakfast is $5. RSVP by Friday, Sept. 3, to the Clarence Chamber at 631-3888.
