Bee Heard
.Kudos to the Clarence Town Board, with the exception of Councilman Kolber, for having the foresight to approve a senior housing complex in Clarence. As a senior citizen, I think the town is in need of senior housing, and the site on Transit Road is perfect. It is within walking distance of grocery stores, drug stores, as well as restaurants, just what us seniors need. It is “insane” to think all seniors can afford patio homes, especially those of us on fixed incomes.
.I wish town residents would give new candidates an opportunity to prove themselves rather than being so negative. With any administrative change, there comes change, and that is what is happening in our town, for the better, as it is with the county. Please give our supervisor and councilmen the opportunity to succeed. Stop being so negative.
.The current town supervisor stated that he will not support using public funds to build a hockey rink, which would provide town residents with an opportunity for exercise. Instead he hands out tax breaks to a privately owned business located in the town. I guess he’s not too concerned about how he doles out corporate welfare.
