‘Suspicious’ man at Dash’s allegedly using heroin

Saturday, May 16

• Patrol responded to Alexander Drive for a call of an unwanted guest. An intoxicated woman stated that her boyfriend was causing a problem. The man was also intoxicated. They were advised to go to bed.

Sunday, May 17

• A woman on Alexander Drive called police because an intoxicated boyfriend had left with her vehicle. The man returned with the vehicle while patrol was speaking with the complainant. The 46-year-old man appeared to be intoxicated and refused all sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated and later refused a breath test. He was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.

Monday, May 18

• Deputies were called to Prince William Court for a report of loud music. The homeowner turned the music down after he was advised.

Tuesday, May 19

• Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office charged a 31-year-old man with grand larceny. The arrest closed out an investigation into the theft of jewelry from a Clarence home during the first week in May.

Wednesday, May 20

• Detectives arrested a 44-year-old man on petit larceny charges. The man allegedly stole merchandise from Walgreens in Clarence in early April. He was remanded to the Holding Center pending arraignment.

• A 36-year-old man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree following a traffic stop on Main Street. The man had more than three current suspensions on his license.

Thursday, May 21

• A 31-year-old man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree following a traffic stop for a lighting violation.

• Detectives arrested a 31-year-old man on petit larceny charges. The arrest closed out an investigation into the theft of merchandise from a store at Eastern Hills Mall in March.

• Deputies responded to the parking lot of Dash’s Market on Main Street for a report of a suspicious person. A 28-year-old man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was allegedly using heroin.

Friday, May 22

• Deputies responded to Clarherst Drive for a report of two children who were riding motorized scooters in the street. The parents of the children were advised.
