Bee Heard

Thank you to the students and teachers who gave their time to give the senior citizens a prom. What a wonderful gesture to show the community that seniors mean something.

I recently read about the security issues concerning the Clarence schools and their sports and physical education classes. I live in the neighborhood of Sheridan Hill, and my children attend Sheridan Hill as well. I do a lot of walking and notice the back gym door is always wide open during nice weather. I feel, as a parent, it is unsafe and anyone could walk right into the building. I would like to see this issue addressed.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you shouldn’t be able to enjoy something that is paid for by taxpayer dollars. The only things that should be paid for by taxpayer dollars are things that all ages can enjoy, such as libraries and parks. If people are older, they can go to a coffee shop or Wegmans to socialize; taxpayers are not responsible to pay for their socialization no matter what their age.
