Grand larceny charge results from mall theft

Saturday, Nov. 25

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street near Transit Road for passing a red light. A 39-year-old man was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Clarence Town Court.

A resident of Connemara Drive reported that someone had smashed a window on his vehicle. Several cars had been gone through over the weekend.

Sunday, Nov. 26

• Deputies charged a 16-year-old male youth with unauthorized use of a vehicle on Keller Road. The youth’s father had called police after he discovered that the boy had taken the car without permission. The youth was also ticketed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

A man and a woman punched a loss prevention officer at Eastern Hills Mall when he tried to apprehend them for shoplifting. The incident is under investigation.

Monday, Nov. 27

Two women stole approximately $600 in property from TJ Maxx. Loss prevention recovered the property in the parking lot after the subjects dropped it. The incident is under investigation.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Deputies stopped a vehicle for having an expired inspection sticker on Goodrich Road. A 24-year-old man was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

• A resident of Wexford Manor reported that someone had stolen items from her vehicle.

A resident of Sunset Drive reported that someone had gained access to his computer and had stolen his personal information.

Thursday, Nov. 30

• A 31-year-old man was charged with grand larceny after being arrested on a warrant. He allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 from Eastern Hills Mall in October. He was held pending arraignment in Clarence Town Court.

Deputies charged a 24-year-old man with driving with a suspended registration and several other traffic violations following a traffic stop on Transit Road. He was also turned over to the Buffalo police on an outstanding warrant.

Friday, Dec. 1

A 44-year-old woman was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree.

Deputies arrested a 39-year-old man for alleged aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving under the influence of drugs following a complaint of his vehicle leaving the scene of an accident.
