Man jailed after falling asleep in vehicle

Saturday, Jan. 6

Deputies found a man sleeping in a vehicle at a Noco on Transit Road. The man was reportedly in possession of three kinds of narcotic pills mixed in a bottle with no label. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. The 36-year-old man was transported to the Erie County Holding Center. where he was charged with promoting contraband for trying to bring suboxone strips into the jail.

A 17-year-old female employee of Bon-Ton was charged with petit larceny for allegedly making false returns for store credit. She was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

Sunday, Jan. 7

Deputies served a criminal summons for harassment on a minor subject who resides on Shimerville Road.

An alarm was reported at Discover Fitness on Roll Road. It had been set off by an employee.

Monday, Jan. 8

A 41-year-old woman was arrested on a bench warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and driving a vehicle without an interlock device. She was being held at the Holding Center on unrelated charges. She had failed to appear in Clarence Court for a traffic arrest in 2017.

A resident of Strickler Road called about a vehicle that had been left on his property. The responding deputy located the vehicle’s owner at his place of employment. A 43-year-old man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and operating a vehicle without an alcohol interlock device.

Tuesday, Jan. 9

A 52-year-old man was arrested on Transit Road on a warrant for violation of probation. He was transported to the Holding Center. He was also charged with criminal possession of controlled substance and a charge for contraband while he was being searched at the jail intake. He had suboxone strips on his person.

Wednesday, Jan. 10

Several businesses reported an ongoing problem with a man who is panhandling at Transit Road businesses.

Thursday, Jan. 11

Deputies responded to a disturbance on Goodrich Road. A 29-year-old man was charged with menacing in the third degree.

Friday, Jan. 12

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at a parking lot on Main Street. A 30-year-old man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and unsafe backing. He was remanded to the Holding Center on cash bail.
