Teen accused in marijuana bust

Saturday, Feb. 3

A 26-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Transit Road. He was released on an appearance ticket.

A resident of Hunting Valley Road reported that a family member called from Kenmore and was threatening her. Patrol had Kenmore police notify the subject to stop calling the complainant.

Sunday, Feb. 4

Deputies responded to Transit Road for the report of a two-vehicle accident. A 21-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, failing to submit to a breath test and following too closely. He was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on cash bail.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Transit Road. A 53-year-old man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after his breath test showed an alleged blood alcohol level of 0.20 percent. He was released to a sober third party pending arraignment.

Monday, Feb. 5

A vehicle was stopped on Transit Road for failing to keep right and making an unsafe lane change. A 32-year-old man reportedly failed sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated. He refused to submit to a breath test and was remanded to the Holding Center on cash bail.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

An 18-year-old woman was charged with petit larceny after she was apprehended for allegedly shoplifting at Eastern Hills Mall. She was released on an appearance ticket pending arraignment in Clarence court.

A resident of Shamus Lane reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of her house. Patrol spoke with the driver. He had been parked on the side of the road, texting his ex-girlfriend.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were charged with petit larceny after being apprehended while allegedly shoplifting at Best Buy. Both men were released on an appearance ticket pending arraignment.

Thursday, Feb. 8

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Walmart parking lot. A man was sleeping in the vehicle. The man was a private snowplow operator, and he was taking a nap.

Friday, Feb. 9

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street for a traffic infraction and arrested an 18-year-old man for the alleged criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree (more than 25 grams). The man was remanded to the Holding Center on cash bail.
