Suzanne Baker, longtime volunteer, avid bowler

Baker Baker Suzanne “Suzy” Baker, of Clarence Center, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in the Erie County Home in Alden.

Ms. Baker was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Lockport. She graduated in 1971 from Cleveland Hill High School.

For 25 years she volunteered at the Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she enjoyed meeting all the residents, staff and visitors.

In 1985, she became a member of the Clarence Center United Methodist Church, and for nine years she was involved in a Civil War re-enactment.

She was also an avid bowler for 45 years and a fan of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills,

She is survived by her sister, Diane Baker, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Clarence Center United Methodist Church, 9750 Clarence Center Road.

Memorials may be made to Clarence Center United Methodist Church or to Heritage Christian Services.

Arrangements were made by Childs Funeral Home.
