Brothers of Mercy proud to be chosen

The Brothers of Mercy staff and residents were pleased to take first place in the Judges’ Choice and second place in the People’s Choice categories during the recent Chowder Challenge coordinated by Tim Pazda and the Clarence Lions Club at the annual Winterfest. Needless to say, we were proud to win again, especially against such formidable competitors.

Congratulations to Tim and his team for a well-organized and well-attended event. The competition was tougher than ever, but the constant laughter in the pavilion was clear evidence that it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Since the event, we have received numerous requests for the Brothers of Mercy “Seafood Chowdah” recipe. It is now available on our website, www.BrothersOfMercy.org on the news page. The recipe makes about a gallon of incredible chowder. We hope seafood lovers enjoy it.
