King Arthur Flour offering baking tips

America’s oldest flour company will share tips and tricks for easy home baking, from whole grain yeast breads to festive pies, at a free baking demonstration in Clarence.

“Perfect Pies & Savory Scones” will be held at 11 a.m., and “Baking with Yeast & Whole Grains” will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Samuel’s Grande Manor, 8750 Main St., Clarence.

The two-hour demonstration includes free recipes, coupons and time to “talk baking” with the King Arthur Flour staff — plus a chance to win baking-related door prizes.

“We know from customers that many otherwise confident people suffer from ‘baking anxiety,’” says National Outreach Program manager Julie Christopher, “especially when it comes to pie crusts and baking with yeast. With a little baking knowledge, you can overcome your fear and experience the joy of baking and eating your own breads, pies, and more.”

King Arthur Flour works with partners Red Star Yeast, Cabot Creamery Cooperative and Dansko in presenting these demonstrations across the nation and keeping them free for participants.
