Concert to ring in Scarecrow Fest

As a former board member of the Clarence Hollow Association, I want to congratulate the current board of directors in planning such a fun-filled day for the community on Saturday, Sept. 21, with their Scarecrow Festival.

The day begins at the Farmers Market with vendors’ fall produce and food, a scarecrow workshop, tractor day, homemade chowder and the presentation of the scarecrows made by individuals from Clarence showcased along Main Street.

The day’s festivities will conclude with a special free concert titled “A Serenade on Broadway” by Enchante Cabaret at 3 p.m. on the lawn at the Asa Ransom House, 10529 Main St.

This family-friendly concert will have music and song selections from some of the top Broadway shows you will surely recognize and enjoy. Bring a lawn chair for seating. If it rains, the concert will be moved to the Town Park Club House.

As Enchante Cabaret’s regional sales manager, I can testify to their talents as being magnificent. They have a diverse show catalog with a cast size that changes depending on the show. In “A Serenade on Broadway,” you will enjoy the magnificent vocals of Todd Wagner and the lovely Meaghan O’Reilly Randall.

The show features selections from “Cats,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Wicked,” “Rent,” “Chess,” “Man of La Mancha” and more.

This concert performed to rave reviews all summer long from Holiday Valley in Ellicottville to resorts all across the northeast.

Come for a day of community fun, compliments of the Clarence Hollow Association and its sponsors: Clarence Farmers Market committee, M&T Bank, Robert Lawrence O’Connell Attorneys, Gianni Mazia’s, Asa Ransom House, Kennedy’s Cove and J. O’Connell & Assoc.
