Thanks to community as market season draws to a close

This column is produced by the Clarence Hollow Farmers market

It’s autumn in the Hollow, and we’d like to thank all of those who have helped to make Clarence Hollow Farmers Market’s 11th season a huge success.

Let’s start with our spectacular array of vendors. Dedicated, honest and hardworking folks, making, baking and growing just for you. We applaud this group who can boast that they are 100 percent local and the pride of New York State.

Thank you also to the Town of Clarence, Supervisor David Hartzell, the Highway Department, and the Parks and Youth departments for all of your support and commitment.

We thank our sponsors, who are true pillars of our community: Asa Ransom House, Bank of Akron, Clarence Arts and Crafts Society, Clarence Bowling Academy, Blissworks Yoga, Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary, Greatbatch, Kelkenberg Homes, Kreher’s, Mark Custom Recording and Our Lady of Peace Church.

As every piece makes part of the whole, we are grateful for each and every Friend of the Market, West Shore Railroad Mural sponsor and volunteer who have graced us with their kindness and generosity.

And finally, where would we be without our loyal patrons? Thank you for your continued support week after week, rain or shine. You brighten our day. When you support your neighbor, you build a community one handshake at a time.

Our 100 percent volunteer market team works very hard to provide our community with access to healthy, fresh and locally produced foods and other specialty products. We strive to raise awareness of local food production and distribution, and to build our community by bringing people together in an open and engaging atmosphere.

As we look ahead to the 2014 season, please consider joining us as a sponsor, a Friend or a volunteer. We have many different opportunities and levels of participation and can find one to fit you. Visit the Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through October at 10717 Main St.
