Mall-O-Ween Extravaganza to benefit Essential Care for Children

Eastern Hills Mall will once again be providing safe trick-or-treating during its Mall-O-Ween Extravaganza from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.

The Mall-O-Ween Extravaganza is an event for area children to participate in a fun activity to help other children.

Eastern Hills Mall is asking all participants for a suggested $2 donation per child to benefit Essential Care for Children with Hospice of Buffalo Foundation. Donations will be collected at all mall entrances, and each child will receive a bag to trick-or-treat throughout the mall for candy, store coupons and prizes.

In addition to trick-or-treating, a Pumpkin Prize Wheel will be featured in front of Macy’s located at Center Court. For $2 per spin, children can win prizes, with all the proceeds benefiting Essential Care for Children.

“We take pride in being a community mall supporting local charities,” said Karen Garrow, Eastern Hills Mall marketing manager. “Essential Care for Children is the perfect fit for this event, kids helping kids.

“We are pleased to be able to offer a safe place for children and families to have fun trick-or-treating.”

This is the 12th consecutive year that Eastern Hills has hosted Mall-O-Ween and the fourth that it has benefited Essential Care for Children.

The event has raised more than $14,000 for Essential Care for Children since 2011.
