Thanks for holiday celebration support

On Dec. 14, the Clarence Hollow Association held its annual meeting and Christmas party in the Clarence Town Park Club House. Members of CHA, as well all Clarence residents, were invited to attend to partake in the festivities.

The evening featured delicious food from Cornerstone Bar & Grill, Hollow Bistro, Clarence Deli, Asa Ransom House, Mazia’s, Penny Lane CafĂ©, Smoke, Fire & Spice, McDuffie’s and Kennedy’s Cove. Gorgeous poinsettias from Lipinoga Florist helped decorate the already beautiful club house and were raffled off during the evening to some of our lucky guests.

Four members of the high school orchestra — Sarah Cahlstedt, Miranda Prise, Rebecca Stock and Emma Switzer — provided entertainment by performing beautifully throughout the evening. We thank them and high school teacher/orchestra conductor Doug Shaw for donating their time and talents to our event and helping to put all of us in a festive mood.

A huge thank you goes to those who worked tirelessly to make sure a good time was had by all: Mark Francisco of the Parks

Department, Kathy Yu, Suzie Villiers, Bob O’Connell, Ilene and Steve Polley, and board members Bob Lenz, Jon Rothenmeyer, Larry Ramunno, George Smilanich and Heather Milone. This was truly a group effort.

For those who couldn’t join us this year, we hope to see you next December. In the meantime, we’re always looking for volunteers and board members to help keep our Hollow great. Please visit our website www.clarence hollowassociation.org for more information.

CHA Christmas Party

Departments do great job year round

Thank you to the Town of Clarence, the Clarence Parks Department and the Clarence Highway Department for all the work you did for us this year.

During this holiday season I especially appreciated the Parks Department’s efforts to help make Clarence look festive for all of us to enjoy. Thank you for storing and hanging the Christmas wreaths throughout Clarence Center and for the decorations in Clarence Hollow for all of us to enjoy.

The Clarence Highway Department had quite a year. I was amazed at all of the work that was accomplished last winter with the record-breaking cold and snow, but you got it done. I was also pleased at how the leaf pickup process was done this fall. There were crews throughout the town working extra hours picking up the leaves before the windstorms came.

We understand it is a lot of work and effort from both departments to keep the Town of Clarence a beautiful place. We want you to know that we appreciate your work and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do for us, and we look forward to 2016. Happy New Year!
