Beginners tai chi chih class offered

Beginners tai chi chih will be offered for eight consecutive weeks, starting at 9:30 a.m. These movements are designed to bring mind, body and spirit in balance as well as to strengthen the immune system. The class will cost $80 and will take place at the Clarence Hollow Wellness Center, 10946 Main St. Call 572-2096 for more information.

Pilates taught at dance school

Pilates classes taught by NESTA-certified instructor Carla Baran are being held at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Karyn Kelley School of Dance, 4223 Transit Road, and at 10 a.m. Mondays at Clarence Hollow Wellness, 10946 Main St. Classes are drop-in and cost from $6 to $8 per class. Food and clothing drive planned

The Clarence High School Student Council will hold its annual food and clothing drive Saturday, Dec. 10. Students will be present throughout the neighborhood from noon to 4 p.m. To donate a nonperishable food item or an article of clothing, bring it to the high school between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Harris Hill sing-along planned

Harris Hill United Methodist Church, 8495 Main St., Clarence, will present a Christmas concert and sing-along at 7 p.m. Saturday,

Dec. 10. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served following the concert.

Canvas Salon to host trunk show

A trunk show will take place this weekend at Canvas Salon & Gallery, 9520 Main St., with artist Sean Huntington. Visitors will be able to shop a variety of gift-sized paintings and a few new larger ones to round out the end of Huntington's exhibit at Canvas. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, Canvas will allow patrons to shop the artwork and save on specials including 10 percent off all Surface Hair Care and Bodyography Makeup. At 4 p.m., the show moves next door to Murphy Brown’s Craft Beer Emporium until 8 p.m. There you can enjoy $2 flights for free or $2 off any craft pint.

UMC seasonal concert set

The Clarence Center United Methodist Church, 9750 Clarence Center Road, will host a seasonal concert sung barbershop-style by the Friends of Harmony at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Yoga set at Senior Center

A beginner-level yoga class is being offered at 9 a.m. Fridays at the Clarence Senior Center, 4600 Thompson Road. The class costs $5 per session. For more info, call 633-5138.
