Catherine C. Badding, Clarence native

Catherine Clara Badding (nee Moulin), 88, of Clarence, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

Mrs. Badding was born in Clarence on June 20, 1928. She attended Neumann High School as part of the class of 1946. She was a cheerleader and sang in the choir. She married Bernard Badding in June 1948 and they raised five children together in Cheektowaga.

The family moved to Akron, New York, in 1988, and Mrs. Badding became very involved with the Women’s Guild and the Ministry of Praise at St. Teresa’s Church.

Mrs. Badding is survived by five children, Judy Drake, Nancy Simon, Bruce, Jeff, and Sue Demas; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sibling, Marie Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 5771 Buell St., Akron. Arrangements were made by the Ross Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Brothers of Mercy Hospice Unit, 10570 Bergtold Road, Clarence, NY 14031.
