Roy R. Neureuter, member of several financial investment groups

Neureuter Neureuter Roy R. Neureuter, 84, of Williamsville, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017.

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Neureuter graduated from Nichols School of Buffalo and Lehigh University with a degree in business. Afterward, he served two years in the U.S. Army.

In 1957, he joined the training program of Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company. During his tenure there, Mr. Neureuter served as the assistant investment officer and then vice president heading the investment department; subsequently he was promoted to administrative vice president of the trust/investment group in 1977. He joined Roosevelt and Cross in 1983 where he served as vice president until retirement.

In 1992, he was appointed an arbitration panel member for the National Association of Securities Dealers. Mr. Neureuter was past chairman of the New York State Bankers Association Trust Division as well as being active in the Independent Bankers Association. Early in his career, he served as president of Financiers Toastmasters Club and as an officer of the Bond Club.

He was twice elected president of the Protestant Home for Children and was elected three times as chapter chairman of the American Red Cross. He was a longtime member of the American Lung Association Board as well as the Bristol Home Board.

Mr. Neureuter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith; three children, John, Jed, and Jeanne Weppner; and six grandchildren. A private memorial service was held at Forest Lawn Chapel. Arrangements were made by the Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home.
