Crosby’s celebrates new Clarence location

Crosby’s is celebrating the grand opening of two new convenience stores in Clarence and Scio this week, bringing the total number of stores in the regional chain to 87.

Grand opening festivities took place at on Nov. 16 at the store in Clarence and was attended by Dr. Geoff Hicks, superintendent of the Clarence School District; Michael Kracker, a field representative for the office of Rep. Chris Collins; Patrick Casillio, supervisor for the Town of Clarence; and Paul Shear, a member of the Clarence Town Board.

In addition to the festivities at each location, Crosby’s will donate $500 each to the Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation and the Scio Central Student Council.

Each of the locations were existing structures that underwent a full remodel that included major cosmetic upgrades and a variety of customer friendly amenities including fuel, a sub shop and multiple beverage options.

“These two stores help us further our reach and give customers in those locations easy access to great food, fuel and convenience items at extremely competitive pricing,” according to Doug Galli, vice president and general manager of Reid Stores. “Crosby’s thrives in communities like these because we become an active participant within the community, beyond simply offering products and service.”

At each location, customers can get a cup of Crosby’s signature 100 percent Arabica bean premium roast coffee.

The Clarence location will also feature F’real milkshakes, healthy smoothies and Crosby’s Arctic Express, which offers frozen carbonated beverages or frozen fountain sodas in more than 12,000 flavor combinations.

Each location also features an extensive take-out menu that includes fresh-baked pizza, made with Crosby’s own 100 percent whole-milk mozzarella, served whole or by-the-slice.

Each location also offers fried foods, including chicken wings, an in-house sub shop offering fresh, made-to-order hot and cold subs and an in-house bake shoppe with fresh-baked cookies.

The stores will also offer a wide selection of cold beverages, dairy and frozen foods, competitively priced grocery items, tobacco products and other amenities including an ATM, money orders, prepaid wireless phone cards, gift cards, free Wi-Fi and a variety of New York State Lottery games.

The Clarence location, at 9440 Main St., will offer Mobil gas and diesel fuel.
