Explore Buffalo plans festive holiday tours

Explore Buffalo will provide several holiday tours during the month of December. The Blessed Trinity Church, Goldome Bank and St. Mary’s School for the Deaf are just some of the tour locations. Three City of Light Bus tours are also offered in December, along with the Spotlight Tour of the new Curtiss Hotel. Reservations are encouraged but not required for all tours. LLS launches new fundraising competition

The Western & Central New York Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is seeking high school students who are enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, community outreach and leadership for a new fundraising competition called Students of the Year. Students will raise funds that will be invested in research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures for blood cancer patients. The campaign kicks off March 22 and will culminate on May 10. Nominees sought for trip to Singapore

Industry leaders can nominate and recognize “behind the scenes” industry professionals who embody the “Passion Made Possible” spirit in categories such as: convention service managers, show decorators, transportation managers and audio/visual specialists. Those selected will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Singapore, to tour the city state and meet with Singaporean counterparts.
