Season-high score pushes rifle team past Kenmore

Clarence’s rifle team shot its highest score of the season in defeating Kenmore on Dec. 21 by a 1,104 to 1,076 margin.

The top gun in the match was Alexis Kirk, who fired a personal best score of 281 out of a possible 300 points. Other top shooters were Gabby Eberle (275), Emily Gay (274), Matt Kirk (274) and Lauren Stashek (274). Eberle, Gay and Charlie Arnold also shot personal-best scores.

The win came on the heels of the Red Devils’ 1,072 to 1,047 triumph over Iroquois two days earlier.

This time Matt Kirk was the top gun for the match, finishing with 276 out of a possible 300 points. Other top shooters included Gay (270), Trey Dziabo (266) and Gabby Ganschow (260). Eva Kottakis, Abe Metz and Wyatt Belanger each shot personal best scores in the match.

Clarence returns to action Thursday by hosting Pioneer, then has a few days off before resuming play Tuesday at Alden.
