Maria Love Fund accepting grant applications

The Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund has announced that grant applications are available at www.marialovefund.org. Submissions will be accepted from Erie County nonprofit organizations. Grant requests may range in amounts from $1,000 to $10,000. In order to qualify, the nonprofit organizations must provide assistance to the Erie County Maria Love Convalescent Fund. Grant proceeds must be used toward programming or operational costs of the nonprofit organization. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

HOME offering $2,500 in scholarships

Housing Opportunities Made Equal, Inc. is now accepting applications for the Joanne Champion Granger Scholarship, awarded each year to a college bound high school senior in Erie or Niagara county. HOME will be awarding $1,500 to a first-place winner and $500 to two honorable mentions. Applications for the scholarship can be accessed at http://www.homeny.org/eventsupdates/joanne-champion-granger-scholarship/. Completed scholarship applications are to be postmarked by Friday, Feb. 16.

Niagara County Builders plans workshops

The Niagara County Builders will be offering business training in the spring and fall of 2018. Business Builders Workshops are open to existing businesses in Western New York. Attendees will learn about strategic planning, best-practice growth methods and digital transformation from local experts. All workshops are in the Wurlitzer Building, 908 Niagara Falls Blvd., Room 102, North Tonawanda. The cost is $30, and proceeds benefit the Niagara County Builders Association.
