Clarence’s rifle team continued its winning streak by defeating league rival Orchard Park by a 1,143-1,045 margin on Jan. 30.

Matt Kirk was the top shooter in the match, recording a score of 290 out of a possible 300 points. Closely behind him were Alexis Kirk (288), Tom Pawlak (285) and Eva Kottakis (280). Pawlak, Kottakis and Wyatt Belanger each shot personal-best scores in the process.

Clarence returned to action Tuesday against Kenmore, but information about that match was not available at press time. The Red Devils close out their week at Pioneer on Thursday.

Buffalo Titans Basketball will hold tryouts for its spring travel teams — there are boys and girls teams, with no residency requirement, from 10U through 17U — on Sundays, Feb., 18 and 25, at Nichols and St. Mary’s for the Deaf. A winter break basketball camp for boys in grades pre-K through 8 who are on vacation will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19 through Thursday, Feb. 22 at Daemen College’s Lumsden Gymnasium.

The camp is run by Daemen College basketball coach Mike MacDonald and the MacDonald Basketball Academy.

All campers will receive an official camp T-shirt, along with other gifts. The cost of the camp is $175.
