Nurtured Memories: An Exhibition by Phyllis Thompson — Thompson uses the process of monotype printmaking with the use of assorted collage materials to create one-of-a-kind mixed media prints and features a series of works called “Reminiscences,” which can be likened to daydreams, meditations and doodles. They are shapes, textures, words and patterns that come together in visual form. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Western New York Book Arts Center, 468 Washington St., Buffalo. Selected Works by Tom Busch — The solo exhibition will feature works by the Buffalo native, and will showcase his works depicting faces and figures in environments that are both recognizable and metaphorical.
