Senior News

The Clarence Senior Center is located at 4600 Thompson Road. Contact the center at 633-5138 to sign up for activities. When registering for free activities and programs, you can call the office or email your name, phone number and desired event(s) to signup@clarenceseniorcenter.org. “The mission of Clarence Senior Citizens Inc. is to provide social, recreational, educational and nutritional programs, as well as opportunities for volunteerism, to persons in the community who are age 55 and older.


The center has a 14-passenger bus available to provide transportation to members between their homes and the center. The bus, which is owned by the Town of Clarence, also takes members shopping to Tops, Wegmans, Target, Walmart, Dash’s and Eastern Hills Mall on a rotating basis. Call the office at 633-5138 for more information or to make arrangements for pickup.

NYS EPIC Program Informational Seminar

10 a.m. Thursday, March 8 — The Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage program is a state program that helps income-eligible seniors ages 65 and older to supplement their out-of-pocket Medicare Part D drug plan costs. A representative will be at the center to provide information about this program and answer any questions you may have. Sign up in the office.

Introduction to Preservation Buffalo Niagara

1:30 p.m. Friday, March 9 — Preservation Buffalo Niagara provides leadership in identifying, protecting and promoting the architecture and historic legacy of Western New York communities. Christiana Limniatis, director of preservation services, will explain the mission of this organization and touch on some of the current advocacy issues and campaigns. Sign up in the office.
